Active safety measures were enhanced. For example, the vehicle features ABS with EBD to distribute the proper amount of braking force to the front and rear wheels based on driving conditions and loading conditions, a brake assist function that supplements the force that is applied to the brake pedal if the driver doesn't press hard enough on the brakes in an emergency, VSC to maintain vehicle stability by automatically controlling the brake force on each wheel and engine output, and TRC to apply the proper amount of drive power when traveling on slippery roads or when accelerating.

Airbags system 3-point type ELR seatbelt

The development team targeted measures to enhance passive safety and achieve world top level passenger protection and restraint performance in order to minimize passenger injury in the event of an accident. To achieve this, dual-stage SRS airbags and SRS side airbags were adopted in the front, knee airbags were adopted for the driver's seat, and SRS curtain shield airbags were adopted for every seat. In addition, every seat features a 3-point type ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelt.
