While cornering, VSC * (Vehicle Stability Control) acts to reduce excessive side slipping by the tyres, to help return the vehicle to a zone of comfortable control, rather than improving the limits of driving performance.
* Grande only.
HID* (High Intensity Discharge) low beam headlamps with an auto-leveling function emit a high quantity of light and distribute it in a wider pattern for excellent visibility.
* Grande only.
Large-diameter disc provides superb stopping power. The front ventilated disc boasts great anti-fading performance.

To help reduce the impact to occupants in a collision, the Aurion is equipped with SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags, SRS side airbags and SRS curtain shield airbags.*
* Optional on Grande only for the SRS side and curtain shield airbags. For the SRS airbags to work effectively, seatbelts must be worn correctly at all times. Child seats should be used in the rear seats. Please do not use accessories for the seats which cover the parts where the SRS side airbags should inflate. Such accessories may prevent the SRS side airbags from activating correctly, causing serious injury (Toyota genuine seat covers are specifically designed for models equipped with the SRS side airbags. To find out about availability in your area, please inquire at your local dealer). The photo shows all the SRS airbags activated for display purposes only (the SRS side and curtain shield airbags only inflate on the side of the collision in an actual accident). For details on these and other important safety features, be sure to read the Owner’s Manual carefully.
All three rear seats are fitted with 3-point ELR-ALR* seatbelts, headrests, and CRS (Child Restraint System) top tether anchors in the rear parcel shelf.
* ELR: Emergency Locking Retractor
ALR: Automatic Locking Retractor

Toyota’s ”GOA” (Global Outstanding Assessment) was developed on the basis of our own safety standards that exceed those of most countries around the world, providing the Aurion with the top level of safety performance in its class.

Measures to help reduce injury to pedestrians involved in an accident include impact-absorbing structures in the hood and cowl.

The WIL (Whiplash Injury Lessening) concept used in the front seats helps to reduce injury to the vertebrae in the neck in a rear-end collision.

Energy-absorbing structures and materials in the pillars and roof-side rails create a head impact protection structure.
